It’s common knowledge that “detoxes” are the unofficial “after party” of the holiday season, so we thought we’d share one of our favorite recipes from Panatea Matcha: The Morning Glory.

There’s no denying that matcha is the en vogue method of caffeinating onself — but it’s more than just a trend — the list of matcha benefits is long enough to practically turn other antioxidants green with envy (pun intended). Since matcha is grown in the shade, it’s richer in chlorophyll than other teas, and chlorophyll is widely believed to be one of nature’s greatest detoxifiers.

Not only is this smoothie healthy and delicious, it knows how to strike a pose (for those who ascribe to the “instagram or it didn’t happen” mentality). But best of all, it’s super easy to make, increasing the likelihood that you’ll actually make it and still be on time for those morning meetings!

THE MORNING GLORY (1 SERVING)

Ingredients

· 2 scoops of PANATEA Ceremonial or Culinary matcha

· 11 ounces of coconut water

· 1/2 banana

· 1/2 avocado

· 1 handful of ice

Directions

1.     Add the ingredients to a blender

2.     Blend until smooth

3.     Pour and enjoy your matcha moment :)
